How it started
I started cleaning windows because I'd had enough of working for other people. I bought a van, invested in proper equipment, and knocked on doors in Altrincham until I had a full round.
That was back in 1990. The van's been upgraded several times since. The equipment gets better every year. The round now covers most of South Manchester. But it's still me who turns up, still me who cleans your windows, and still me who answers the phone.
Why people stick with me
There's no call centre. No dispatch team. No "engineer" turning up who you've never met. You ring me, I answer. You book a clean, I do it. If something's not right, you tell me and I fix it.
That sounds basic. But if you've ever tried booking a window cleaner through a comparison site or a franchise, you'll know how rare basic reliability actually is.
My regulars have been with me for years. Some have followed me from my first round in Altrincham to the wider area I cover now. They stay because I do what I say I'll do - turn up on time, do a proper job, and don't mess about.
The kit
I don't cut corners on equipment.
For windows:
A professional-grade water-fed pole system with multi-stage water purification. The same technology used on commercial buildings - adapted for residential work. Reaches up to three storeys from the ground without ladders.
For gutters:
An industrial SkyVac gutter vacuum with camera attachment. Clears everything from leaves and moss to compacted silt, and shows you footage of the results.
The kit matters because it determines the result. A bucket and sponge will get glass wet. Purified water through a proper system will get it clean - and keep it clean.
Fully insured
Public liability insurance covers every job I do. It's not optional and it's not something I'll "sort out if there's a problem." The cover is active before I arrive at your door.
Ask to see it if you want. I'd rather work for someone who checks than someone who doesn't.

I cover South Manchester and East Cheshire: Altrincham, Stockport, Timperley, Hale, Hale Barns, Baguley, Sharston, Poynton, Hazel Grove, Bramhall, Woodford, The Four Heatons, Cheadle Hulme and Gatley.
I know these areas well. The tree-lined roads in Hale that fill gutters every autumn. The Victorian bay windows in Stockport that need extra care. The new builds in Poynton where the builders left cement dust on every pane. Local knowledge makes a difference when you're cleaning houses, not just ticking them off a list.
